Benefits of Tool or App

This online graphing calculator is a basic calculator. It allows the graphing of y = equations, plotting of data and finding the intersection points of two graphs.. The user is able to adjust the window settings. The calculator allows for graphing of all functions including quadratic functions, cubic functions, square root functions, trigonometric functions, logarithmic functions and exponential functions.. You can graph equations or inequalities. When a function is graphed, the calculator populates a table fo values generated from the equation. The calculator is able to automatically find the intersection point of two equations. You are able to hide an equation so that it does not graph. The calculator also has a tracing feature and it provides the coordinate points. This trace feature could be used to find the vertex of a quadratic.

Constraints of Tool or App
The data plots are limited to only eight data points and the number of equations that it graphs is limited to four. It does not have the capability to automatically find the vertex of a quadratic equation and does not allow for the graphing of inverse trigonometric functions such as cotangent, cosecant and secant. The table of values generated for a given equation is limited to only ten data points. The calculator only plots data or graphs functions. It does not do any histograms or box and whisker plots.

A constraint that was annoying is that there was no way to automatically clear the data when you create a plot or any y= equations. Every entry has to be manually deleted.
